Data Deletion
Last updated: August 8, 2026
This page explains how to delete the information GlyphStack holds about you. It covers ScribeSage, PlotCascade, InkSlide, Instant Audiobook Video, Mini.Glyph, and FolioScriv, and supplements our Privacy Policy. Not every item below applies to every App — each one says where it applies.
Using NewsletterScriv? NewsletterScriv publishes its own deletion page, because a mailing list holds a kind of data the Apps above do not — your subscribers, their consent records, your sending history, and your suppression list. Requests about any of that, including a reader asking to be removed, are handled at newsletterscriv.com/data-deletion. Your GlyphStack account itself can be deleted from either page.
1. What we store
Depending on which App you use, we may hold:
- Account information. Your name and email address, held through our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Your work. The projects you create and save, and the content inside them — manuscripts, chapters, outlines, notes, and source documents in our writing and planning tools; saved designs and drafts in InkSlide.
- Publishing history. (InkSlide.) A record of posts you published through the App: the platform, the post's identifier and link, and the first part of the caption or title.
- Usage counters. A count of AI actions performed, used to apply your plan's monthly allowance.
- Generated media. (InkSlide, Instant Audiobook Video.) Images, audio, and video the App created for you, including files staged temporarily so a social platform can retrieve them when publishing.
- Third-party API keys. Where an App lets you connect your own AI provider key, we hold that key in encrypted form for as long as you leave it in settings. You can remove it yourself at any time.
- Social connection tokens. (InkSlide.) If you connect Instagram or YouTube, the access token that authorizes the App to publish on your behalf. Tokens are stored server-side only and are never sent to your browser.
- Billing records. Subscription and payment records held by our payment processor, Stripe.
- Analytics & advertising identifiers. (Public marketing pages only.) Cookie and device identifiers set by the analytics and advertising technologies described in our Privacy Policy. These identify a browser rather than an account, and are not linked to your GlyphStack account or your User Content.
Except where noted above, this information lives in our database, which is hosted in the United States by our database provider, Neon, LLC. Generated media is held in our cloud file storage. Our Privacy Policy lists the service providers we use in full.
2. Disconnect a linked social account (InkSlide)
InkSlide is the only App that connects to a social account. You can revoke that connection at any time, without deleting your GlyphStack account. This takes effect immediately.
- In InkSlide. Go to the Export screen and click Disconnect next to Instagram or YouTube. The stored access token for that platform is deleted from our systems at once, and the App can no longer post on your behalf.
- From Instagram. In the Instagram app, open Settings → Apps and websites, find the InkSlide entry, and remove its access.
- From YouTube. Visit your Google account permissions, find the InkSlide entry, and remove its access.
Removing access from Instagram or Google invalidates the token we hold, so we can no longer act on your account either way.
3. Delete your account and data
To have everything deleted, email legal@glyphstack.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line Delete my data. Tell us which App you used if you can — it helps us find your records faster, but it is not required. Because the Apps run on a single GlyphStack account, a deletion request covers your account and your data in every App you have used under it, unless you tell us to limit it to a particular App.
We will confirm receipt, and complete the deletion within 30 days. We delete:
- your account and login credentials;
- your saved projects, drafts, and the content in them;
- your publishing history;
- your usage counters;
- generated images and videos held on our storage, including any staged for publishing;
- any AI provider API key you stored in settings;
- any stored Instagram or YouTube access tokens.
Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore your projects afterwards, so download anything you want to keep before you write to us.
4. Posts already published (InkSlide)
Posts you published to Instagram or YouTube live on those platforms, under your account, and belong to you there. Deleting your GlyphStack data does not remove them, and we have no ability to delete them for you once they are posted. To take a post down, delete it directly in Instagram or YouTube.
5. What we keep, and why
After deletion, we may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it or where we have a continuing legal obligation — principally billing and tax records held by our payment processor, and records needed to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements. These are kept only for as long as that obligation lasts, and are not used to provide the Services to you.
Email suppression records are kept permanently. Where an App sends email on your behalf — NewsletterScriv does — we keep a record of every address that has unsubscribed, bounced, or reported a message as spam. That record is the only thing standing between a person who opted out and being emailed again, so it cannot be deleted along with the list it came from, or along with your account. We keep it because the person it protects is not the person asking us to delete it. It holds only what is needed to block a future send, it is never used to contact anyone or for any other purpose, and it is the one exception we do not make exceptions to. NewsletterScriv's data deletion page explains this in more detail.
Analytics and advertising identifiers are not removed by this process. Those identifiers sit in your own browser and with the relevant analytics or advertising provider, and are not linked to your account, so deleting your account does not clear them. To stop them, use the opt-out mechanisms described in our Privacy Policy, clear your browser's cookies, or use tracker-blocking software.
Routine backups may briefly contain deleted data. Backups are rotated on a schedule, and deleted data ages out of them; it is not restored into the live Services.
